Hollyburn Country Club is a premier athletic and family club situated in West Vancouver’s British Properties. Hollyburn’s publication, The View, launched in 1962, is a resource of pertinent and timely Club information that impacts members’ lives. The 8 times yearly publication showcases member achievements, promotes member events and details program information. The total readership was approximately 6,000 members.

As the Project Manager I wore many different hats as I was solely responsible for The View magazine being created, designed, printed and mailed to member homes. I managed, scheduled, delegated and communicated with 25 plus contributors, advertisers, printers and distributors.

As the Creative Director I was responsible for page layout, cover design, member event ad designs and food & beverage photography. I was constantly in communication with the entire staff at Hollyburn regarding publication scheduling, submission deadlines, proofing and editing.

Over the course of 9 years producing the 80 page plus publication, I was able to evolve the look and brand by designing a unique masthead every couple of years as well as slight changes in the layout. During the pandemic, members voted to go fully digital for the publication which challenged me to evolve into a strictly digital landscape. With over 60 issues published under my name I can say I am very proud of the impact I left on The View’s legacy.
